Shivapuri National Park It is believed that long time ago it is place of Shiva. That's why ,it is called Shiva puri. The ninth national park of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park was established in 2002 in Nepal. It is located in the northern fringe country's mid-hills of the Kathmandu Valley. It covers an area of 159 km2 in the districts of Kathmandu, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk. Situated Shivapuri Peak of 2,732 mtrs. height. the north of the Kathmandu Valley, due to its strategic location and convenience, Shivapuri was proclaimed as a watershed area supplying more than a million liters of natural spring water to the city. Shivapuri lies in a transition zone between subtropical and temperate climates. The vegetation consists of a variety of natural forest types including pine, oak, rhododendron etc, depending on altitude and aspect. Most of the areas below 1800m are covered with Schima castanopsis forest in which pines (Pinus roxburghii) appear on the southern dry ridges, with Utis (Alnus nepalensis) along the streams. Shivapuri is one of the main sources of drinking water for Kathmandu Valley. Everyday about 30 million liters of water is tapped from rivers such as the Bagmati and the Bishnumati as well as from several other smaller streams.

Detail Itinerary of Shivapuri Water Shed

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m.)
You will be received by our representatives and will be transferred to hotel. After checking into our rooms, stay Overnight in hotel Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour.
Half day Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour of three places: Kathmandu: Swayambu Nath Stupa, famous hindu Temple of Pashupatinath and buddhist pilgrims of Bouddhanath Stupa , Overnight at hotel.

Day 03 : Kathmandu to Chisapani.

Day 04: Chisapanis to Jhule.

Day 05: Jhule to Kathmandu via Sankhu Newari old town.

Day 06: Final Departure from Kathamandu.
