Langtang Ganja La Pass Trekking

Langtang Ganja La Pass Trekking Langtang Ganja la pass trekking which is popular challenging trekking with unfavorable weather conditions in langtang trekking region. Lantang ganja la pass trekking offers panoramic Himalayan views with beautiful langtang valley and Helambu valley, inhabited of Tibetan people and Tamang people. Langtang ganja la pass trek follows through alpine forests, rich flora and fauna and high altitude pasturelands. If you are trekking during spring the forest on the trail is colorful and blooming full of Rhododendrons. It is a unique wilderness trek route followed by very few tourists. Langtang kyanjin valley is the point for acclimatization at a height of 3800m, situated Buddhist monastery. To cross from Langtang valley into Helambu village via the Ganja-La pass 5122 mtrs which is serious undertaking requiring good equipment and experience from local guides. Crossing the Ganja la pass trekking requires the use of technical climbing equipment and trekkers must be skilled in the use of trekking equipments and be prepared to assist less well-equipped porter staffs. The views to the north from Ganja la pass, of Langtang Lirung and the snow peaks in Tibet, including Shisha Pangma at 8013m, are outstanding. On a clear day there are also views of many ranges of hills to the south. West of the pass is Naya Kanga (5846m), previously named Ganja La Chuli. The descent from Ganja la pass is steep and dangerous as trail follows a loose screen slope for about 200m before emerging onto a snow slope. Somehow, the descent from Ganja La pass , like most mountain descents, seems more treacherous than the ascent, no matter which direction one uses to cross the pass. Ganja la pass route descends through the basin along a distinct trail, marked occasionally by rock Cairns, to a small stream at 4400m. we come down past a waterfall to a pretty Helambu valley region, making our way on one of several alternative trails through small Helambu villages towards the road head at Melamchi pul bazaar.
