Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve

Dhorpatan is the only hunting spot reserve in Nepal, spreading over an area of 1,325 square kilometers. Dhorpatan hunting Reserve was protected from 1987, where licensed hunting is permitted. All parts of reserve is surrounded by village expect north. Especial permit is needed for Filming. It covers an area of 1325 km2, lies Baglung, Rukum and Myagdi districts western of Nepal. The hunting reserve elevation ranges from 2,850 m to more than 7,000 m at the foothill of dhaulagiri.
Hunting Reserve Dhorpatan is rich in bio diversity and one of the prime habitats for blue sheep. The main attraction of the Dhorpatan is hunting wild animals of blue sheep. Other animals found include leopard, goral, serow, Himalayan tahr, Himalayan black bear, barking deer, wild boar, langur monkey.

The hunting spot is characterized by alpine, sub-alpine and high temperate vegetation. It is surrounded by gentle slopes covered with beautiful pine and fir forests, birch tree, rhododendron, hemlock, oak, juniper and spruce. It occupy Pasturelands at higher elevations more than 50% of the total area of the hunting reserve.

Detail Itinerary of Chitwan Jungle Safari

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m.)
You will be received by our representatives and will be transferred to hotel. After checking into our rooms, stay Overnight in hotel Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour.
Half day Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour of three places: Kathmandu: Swayambu Nath Stupa, famous hindu Temple of Pashupatinath and buddhist pilgrims of Bouddhanath Stupa , Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Beni by bus.

Day 04: Drive Beni to Darbang by jeep

Drive and Trek to Dharapani (1575m)

Day 05: Dharapani to Lamsung

Trek from Dharapani to Lamsung (2250m)

Day 06: Lamsung to Tallo Jaljala
