bardia national Park One of the largest and most undisturbed National Park is known as Bardia National Park.The protected area of the Tarai- Bardia National Park is home to the endangered Royal Bengal tiger and Nepal’s famous one-horned rhinoceros. Bardia National Park, It covers an area of 968 sq km. and585 kms south west of Kathmandu. With 8 types of ecosystems ranging in diversity from flood plains to dense forest, Bardia is an area not only of prime habitat for a wide variety of wildlife, but an area holding the key to the survival of many endangered species.The national park located in the far western district of Bardia, is bordered by river Karnali in the west, the churia range in the north, while the river Babai flows right through the park.The varied geographical factors together with the thick cover of Sal, savannah forests and grasslands renders this region ideal as wild animal habitat. The park hosts different mammals, more then 250 species of birds, and several varieties of reptiles and water animals. Some of the other animals found here are elephant, swamp deer, blackbuck, gharial, crocodile and marsh mugger crocodile share the water with gangatic dolphins, as well as several other special of reptiles, amphibians, insects and butterflies etc. This park is situated in western Nepal to the south of the Shivalik range. The vegetation and wild life found in this park are similar to those of the Royal Chitwan National Park. In addition, the wild elephant and swamp deer are also found here. Rhinos in this area became extinct a long time ago. Therefore, 13 rhinoceros were captured in Chitwan National Park and introduced in this park. There is a greater chance of viewing tigers.

Detail Itinerary of Bardia National Park Safari

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m.)
You will be received by our representatives and will be transferred to hotel. After checking into our rooms, stay Overnight in hotel Kathmandu.

 

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour.
Half day Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour of three places: Kathmandu: Swayambu Nath Stupa, famous hindu Temple of Pashupatinath and buddhist pilgrims of Bouddhanath Stupa , Overnight at hotel.


Day 03: Kathmandu to Nepalgunj.

Drive or fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. You will be picked up from here. After briefing about the programs, enjoy breakfast. Visit to crocodile breeding center and tharu village. Jungle drive whole day with packed lunch. You enjoy dinner and overnight stay at lodge.

 

Day 04: Bardia National Park Activites.

After breakfast you set out for jungle walk. You walk to Rhino’s, Elephant’s and Tiger’s territory up to Gola, Dolphin Place. You enjoy dinner and overnight stay at lodge.

 

Day 05: Bardia National Park Activites.

This day you visit black sanctuary with packed lunch and drive to Babai Bridge and walk upstream along the gorge of Babai River. You return to lodge in the evening. You enjoy dinner and overnight stay at lodge.

 

Day 06: Nepalgunj toKathmandu.

After breakfast you depart from lodge for Kathmandu.

 

Day 07: Final Departure from Kathamndu.
